Your several alarm clocks rang very loudly.To wake up and get out of your "Sleep-late-because-it-is-a-holiday" habit, last night you thought of planting eight alarms around your room so you were surely going to wake up early.
Time and time again you always pressed snooze and cancel until the thought of being late struck you. You were going to walk with Alfred and his brother... what was his name again? Oh yes, you were going to walk with Alfred and Matthew to school today!
You lazily rolled out of bed and rushed up and down the stairs to get ready - it was a good thing you organized everything last night! You dressed in your familiar checkered uniform and headed downstairs to eat. You had plenty of time left since you were fast at dressing!
"Hmm.." You said aloud to yourself, opening your cupboard, "I want to have loads of food but not a feast..." and then to wake you up from your train of thought, you heard the door bell ring. As you began to walk to the door, you already heard a certain American's loud voice.
"Morning!" You giggled as you opened the door to reveal Alfred, clutching a hamburger, you let him step inside. "Wait, I thought you would bring your brother Matthew with you..."
"Yeah, but I think I lost him on the way to your house..." Alfred said, scratching the back of his head and having a bite out of a hamburger he had in his hand.
"Guys, I'm right here!" A Canadian voice said from behind Alfred, "Seriously Alfred, how did you not notice me! I was standing here the whole time!" Even though it sounded like he was angry, his voice was not even a pitch above a whisper. You blinked and it seemed like he disappeared again.
You awkwardly laughed and said, "Alright then... I'll just grab some toast and we'll head out ok?" And before you knew it, the two brothers were already in your kitchen.
"Dude, is this what you're gonna eat!?" Alfred gasped, looking at a pile of bread next to your toaster, "Please don't tell me you're on a diet, bro!"
"Well," You replied, "at least I don't eat hamburgers for breakfast!"
"But they're good for you! They'll even heal you when you are sick!"
"Say what!? That must be the most foolish thing I have-" You were interrupted by Alfred shoving his hamburger near your face, "No, I refuse to eat a hamburger for breakfast!"
He pouted, "More for me then!" he turned away and went to your living room.
You sighed, "It's like burgers is the only thing he thinks about." You thought you were talking to yourself.
"Tell me about it," A Canadian whisper said, "He's always doing things that get me into trouble! Many people mistake me for him just because we look alike! He even stuck an American flag onto my forehead!"
"Oh, there you are Matthew..." Was the only thing you could say at the time... "Oh look the toast is done!" You added, dodging his further ranting.
You buttered and ate the toast and brushed your teeth all in seven minutes, to your surprise. Well it was probably because Alfred soon helped himself to about half of your pile of toast.
You grabbed your purple blazer and slipped on your shiny black school shoes, "Is everybody ready to go?" You said, "We're a bit early but I'm ready to go."
"Yeah let's go as early as possible, ____, I'd like to beat everyone and say 'say aren't you running a little late?' and then those losers will feel completely stupid yo!" He laughed, grabbing your hand, "Quick, let's go!"
"Wait! My bag!!" You screamed, for a person who always ate hamburgers, Alfred was really strong!
"It's alright, ____, I've got your bag," Matthew said, holding your bag up.
You all finally walked at a normal pace, Alfred refused on letting go of your hand and Matthew insisted on holding your bag for the rest of the journey to school. All the while, Alfred was loudly talking about a certain drunk British man while Matthew silently walked beside you.
It was a great start to the school morning!
